✨ Highlights of the Week
this week was so packed… one class test and one practical test with 2 days gap, man. i really love this feeling of being occupied. both tests did so quite okay to me! one 8/10 and 20/20~ my hard work finally paid off for 2101 for once… finally some questions that showed up that i could understand??? man..
and let’s be honest for 1002… for the helpsheet i prepped, i didn’t even look at it, ok i did for the 2D array init hahahahaha but bruh, after all that, i didn’t touch it again, and honestly i really thought that prof was being really nice to a lot of students in class cuz not all of us signed up this degree from a SWE-related background.. it reminded me that as i finished the test, looked at the timer, 1 hour left, i really got nothing to do and just writing comments on code, after that i got bored and looked around, i saw a few screens in front of me got a few questions marked in red (means public test cases failed) and some undone… i had a really complicated feeling at that spot, i have never been in a situation like that before, i have always been the one surrounded by smart people at work, but for once, for the programming mod, i felt so much diff in class, sometimes i felt like a pro, sometimes i found myself learning, once i caught myself not managing to do backtracking… but at that moment i was clueless, should i help them? how can i help them? i didn’t even see them in class … LOL and they just showed up on test, and be like this, why are they struggling like this, did they not practise… 🥺 and right, there’s no way for me to help them, but imagine sitting there with nothing to do, looking around and thinking about this. it also brought back so many memories back in the days i was at Singapore polytechnic, when i was new to Java, couldn’t even build a Christmas tree by “*” , i was so mad, i was so lost, i saw my friend code that out in like 5s, i doubted myself every single day in school, i have been there, and done that. i mean, i am now up there seeing what they are going thru, and i wish the best and i trust that there must be some of them who will be great in the future, i trust that. ✨
